    Hi @TheAdityaJain,

Are you on Windows by any chance? See this link. http://topquark.com/forum/self-hosted-plugins/readme-txt-not-recognized/

    Cheers

I'm having the same issue, but it doesn't validate for me using WinZip, WinRAR or Send to compressed folder on Windows 7. The readme.txt does validate on http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/about/validator/

    What else can I try!

    Hi @imageDESIGN,

Hmmmm, the problem persists. WinRAR has worked for other people. I'm curious why it's not working for you. Would you mind sending me your WinRAR'd plugin to support_at_topquark_dot_com and I'll see if I can figure it out.

    Cheers
    Trevor

Windows Users : use 7zip to compress as .zip file and works fine, thankyou
