I love search erverything!
but i got a little problem. SE is just searching the filename of attachments. SE doesn't search through description, the attachment title or something like that.
is there any solution for that?

The only solution I know is using tags for galleries.

when i search for the filename of the image i find the single image in the search results. thats what i want, when i search for the description of the image.
when ich search for the description i find the complete page where i embbed the gallery. thats wrong.is there any solution?

Posted 3 years ago #Yes -I am having the same thing. This is unfortunate for those of us using WP as a CMS. I was so hopeful this would search my galleries =(
Creating meta data for the pages my galleries live on won't do the trick as there are many attachments (images) in each gallery. So the user would only get the landing page, but still have to sift through 50 images in the gallery to find the content. This isn't really a solution for me. Also -wouldn't that be the same option I would have without the plugin?
Really needing something that will search the gallery descriptions,titles or captions -something -anything inside a gallery HELP!

Posted 3 years ago #I may not be understanding correctly either. I don't even get the landing page for my gallery when i search the file name! Since my site is an artists site mainly made up of pages with galleries on them, the entire site is pretty much unsearchable -driving me nuts :(. I completely appreciate the hard work that goes into making a plugin -just hope someone hears me and can help.
