I just tried creating a user on my website. I clicked activate link and WordPress said the user activated. But I cannot login with that account. It says invalid activation status. When I go to different user tabs, no users are listed.

Current version of Sabre is not multisite compatible. The forthcoming version will be.
Did you try to deactivate all your plugins but Sabre to see if the problem is still there ?
You may have some plugins conflicting with Sabre.Hope it helps to find the cause of your problem.
