    Hello!
I have been looking for a plug-in like this for years. This a really great plug-in and does exactly what I was looking for.
I've installed it on my site: http://www.arepitas.com and so far it works flawlessly with the RSS seeds from Blogger.com.
The problem occurs with those sites that work on WordPress. Either WordPress.org or WordPress.com. It doesn't get the feeds right and does not get the last update so it shows only zeroes.
I hope you can fix this issue, if you need more details you can contact me back at [ email redacted, support is offered in the forums only ]
Also I've had translated some parts into Spanish, I can help you with that.
    Thanks for this great plug-in.

Do you have an example of a feed that does not work?
Are you using the latest WordPress version?

    I used http://reflexionesdiarias.wordpress.com as a test.

I put http://reflexionesdiarias.wordpress.com/feed/ in the RSS Address box, saved the link and returned to the edit form. I pressed process and it returned the latest article as

    Lastest article: Instantes

    These are from WordPress.com
    http://reflexionesdiarias.wordpress.com/feed/
    http://elamargado.wordpress.com/feed/

These are from independent WordPress pages (WordPress.org)
    http://www.periodismodepaz.org/index.php/feed/
    http://fashiongeeksta.com.ve/feed/

Let me know if you need more examples. Thanks :-)

    That's weird :-S
I have a test site where I installed the plugin. I can make you an admin user so you you can check it out if you want.
This site is in English so it will be easier to work with. BTW we can rule out the WordPress language as a cause of the problem with the plug-in.

Could this be something with the server config? some permissions the script needs? any Ideas to troubleshoot this problems?
I'm using the latest version of WordPress.

One obvious thing to try which only just came to me. Try setting the timeout to a longer period. Mine's currently set to 30s.

Behind the scenes it's using the wordpress function fetch_feed($url) that in turn uses the best network protocol it can to connect to the remote feeds.

    See http://themocracy.com/2009/07/wordpress-rss-functions/

I'd expect it to either not work for any sites or work for them all.

One issue I found when developing this was todo with redirected feeds but that does not appear to be the case with these.

You could try using something like feedburner, a proxy or yahoo pipes to provide the feed to the plugin.

    I Solved it! :-D

It wasn't the script. The problem was in the outgoing connections configs of my hosting server.
For security purposes my hosting blocks most of the outgoing connections so in the case of the RSS hosted in WordPress.com I had to grant access to one of the WordPress.com IPs.
In the case of the self hosted WordPress pages (WordPress.org) things get a little more tedious, I had to configure the access of every IP so the script can get the info from their RSS files.
Good thing to have in mind the next time someone have the same issue.
    Great script highly recommended!

    Thanks for the help.

Hi Rotwp, I was just looking at your microtime_float issue. The issue that the function is defined in another plugin so works on my test site. I'll make an appropriate update the the code to define the function if it's missing.
    Cheers,
    Andy
