[resolved] [Plugin: Rotating Tweets widget and shortcode] Not working with IE 8.* (9 posts)

    Hello Martin,

I'm currently using version 0.491 on my website. When viewing my site on IE 9.* the plug-in works good. But when I view the site on other computers which all use IE 8.*, it only shows the 'follow' button, but not the tweets themself.

Can you help me with this?

Thanks in advance for any reaction.

Hi Martin--I have the Rotating Tweets widget on my website, and I noticed that when I view the site on Firefox, the widget looks fine. But when I view on Safari, it cuts off the text on the right side that indicates number of followers. Any fixes planned for this? You can see the widget on my site which is www.helenleeauthor.com.. Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Hi Helen,

The size of the Twitter follow button is set by Twitter and the size of the widget 'container' is set by your template, so there's not a lot I can do via the plug-in to make it fit into the space your template gives you.

However, the latest version of the plug-in will let you choose options for the follow button - such as show name only or show followers only which will fit in the space available.

    Hope this helps!

The strange thing is how it looks different depending on the browser. Fits fine in Mozilla Firefox but it's cut off in Safari. Guess it's hard to please all the browsers. But I will check out the update. Thanks!

I think it may be line 1346 or line 1391 of your stylesheet! :-)

    Evert,

I think the latest version of the plug-in may solve your earlier problem.

    Best wishes,

    Martin
