   Hi,
   I've used this plugin before on other projects and it worked fine.
   Right now I'm using the hybrid framework and utilizing this plugin.
   I can't get background color highlighting to work.
   I'm getting the text strong but can't make anything work under:
   "Then adjust the settings for your chosen type:"

   Anyone else having this problem?

   Do you get Relevanssi-produced excerpts at all? It's possible the theme is blocking Relevanssi from modifying the excerpts.

   Relevanssi appears to be modifying the excerpts. I did a search for a word that came at the end of a post and the chunck of text showed up in the search results.

   I'm having the same problem. custom excerpts are being created, and words are showing up bold, but no background color is being created, even if i define a custom class and add that to my style.css.

   Alright, figured it out for myself, and I feel pretty dumb. Under highlight query terms in search results, I had<strong>selected instead of CSS class. I thought strong was in addition to the options below, rather than in place of them. Works like a charm now.

   Same here. I assumed the same. Don't feel dumb. It isn't very intuitive.
   Glad to have it fixed!
