This plug-in still works fine with WP-3 however the old option of allowing users to log in using the same email address is now broken. That was a very handy feature for troubleshooting a site... use your own email address with multiple fake users until you get the registration and permissions bugs out. Now, with WP-3 you have to use unique email addresses at registration or you will get the following error...
"Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home1/xxxxxxxxxx/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 2772"
If the Dev or any of the newer Pie Register coders know a way around this so we can fix Registration Plus please speak up?

I tried to restore this feature in my fork of Register Plus without success, it actually caused terrible havoc on my website, the new user it generated had the same id (1) as the admin and freaked out and deleted everything created by user_id 1 without going to the Trash or anything. I had to restore a backup copy of the database to recover everything. There might be a way around this, but I don't know what it is.
