   Hello,
   i have created custom fields,
   and they are showing up in registration page but its values are not being saved,

   am i need to create any fields in wp_users or user meta table or what?

   please advice.

   I created a field called Gender and that data was stored, by user in wp_usermeta with a meta_key=gender. There are also just a few fields kept in wp_users but those are 'standard' field names.
