• Hi!

When the users regist, the username is left with a value of Unverified_332hj35443 and when I accepted the new record he does not update the username to what has been chosen by the user.

    Thank´s for your help!

  • If you go to “Users” where you’d normally verify new registrations, you’ll also see “Unverified users” ==> …./wp-admin/users.php?page=unverified-users

So..to verify users, do not use “Authors & Users”, but “Unverified users”. That should solve your issue.

    Thanks kikuyumoja!

I know this, but my problem was another. Already decided, was simply asking for verification by mail and by admin. I forgot to turn off the verification email.

    Thanks!

I just enabled users on my site, and ran into the same thing. The odd thing is, only some of the users were coming back as unverified. Others needed no verification from me.

Is there a way to disable the need for the verification?

    Thanks.

I’m having a similar issue too – when I select email verification, users get a %sitelink% link in their email to confirm their email address, but on clicking this it doesn’t then change the status of the users to being a verified user. Not sure if I’m missing something obvious or if it’s a problem with WP 2.7?

[edit] Just found this post further through the forum: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/210954?replies=1 and it seems my issue is the same, which is a pity as they’re both great plugins and having them working together would be very nice. [/edit]

I had the same problem. You can use this plugin:

    http://www.marcocimmino.net/cimy-wordpress-plugins/cimy-user-extra-fields/

It does not do everything that Reg Plus does but it allows you to add custom fields to your registration. Hope this helps.
