When the customer does get an email from the registration confirmation the link that is provided is not clickable. They have to copy and paste link in the browser and I am having to validate a lot of accounts. Any ideas or recommendations?

    I struggle with the same.
What do I have to do, to get the automatic email send to the user, with a link of %siteurl% he can click instead of copy and paste to the browser ?

    thanks

    Works okay for me.

What email program? What browser? What OS?

    OK, more investigation, problem solved.

In the notification email insert the code:
    <a href="%siteurl%">whatever you want to put here</a>

When the email is received the link will be clickable.

I used Ted's workaround and it added a bunch of slashes to the code, so it still wasn't working. I took out the quotes aroung %siteurl% and it worked...

    < a href=%siteurl% > whatever you want to put here < /a >

though I know this is not good HTML
