Trailing Slash Links Not Redirecting/ Broken Links (3 posts)

I'm using the most recent version of WordPress and the Redirection plugin.

    I set up this link:

    http://ingoodcents.com/all-you-magazine-coupons-april-2012

    to redirect to this link:

    http://ingoodcents.com/resources/coupons/standard/all-you

I'm finding though that this link does not redirect:

    http://ingoodcents.com/all-you-magazine-coupons-april-2012/

It goes to a "Page not found" page.

However, my standard pages (not redirections), like

    http://ingoodcents.com/couponing-for-dummies
    http://ingoodcents.com/couponing-for-dummies/

Both work and the trailing / is removed, so it finds the right page.

Do I have to create redirection with and without the trailing / so none of my links break to use the Redirection plugin or is there a quick fix for this problem?

I'm not sure if this makes a difference, but because I moved from blogger 3 years ago and don't want broken links, my permalinks are set to /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%.html and don't have a trailing slash.

    Thanks so much!

This is is huge problem for us as well. It's actually a reason to stop using the plugin. There is no reason the plugin should force use of a regex or 2 redirects to handle the trailing slash.

Check the Regex option and enter the Source URL as regular expression: /all-you-magazine-coupons-april-2012/?
