Our website (xxx.com)is hosted on Windows and written in ASP. We are launching the same domain (xxx.com) on WordPress and moving to another host. But many of the .asp pages have good ranking so we want to redirect those pages to pages on the WP site. Can your plugin help us do it? What is the best way, httaccess?

I'm not the plugin developer but maybe I can offer some insight. With a past project the website was converted from static HTML to WordPress CMS.

Redirection supports three basic modules (WordPress, Apache, and 404 Errors). You may want to visit the homepage to learn more about them: http://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/redirection/.

For the most part, this plugin can make manually handling Apache htaccess unnecessary—but—if you already have been doing it that way, the plugin can perform an import of the redirection rules. Then further customization can be done afterward.

If you already know what urls require redirecting your option may be to setup a manual rule with the Apache module that uses a regular expression to match a pattern of your old ASP page urls.
