    Hi Johnny,

    Hmm, tested it on my personal Facebook profile and it looks like FB's servers don't need any time before the changes take effect.

    Still, when visiting your FB profile I see your publicly visible posts. When looking at your profile through Facebooks Graph API, I don't. You can have a look yourself here. Might be a bit technical but it should help you get the idea. So something on FB's side is still going wrong. I don't have any more time right now but will have another look later this week.

    Hi Danny.
    I tried reset the App Secret to see if that changed anything. It didn't. I've no problems about it being a bit technical. I have a long history with computers and programing. :-)
    I'll have a deeper look myself later this weekend and see if I can figure out anything at my end. Right now my wife is having issues with the time I spend at the computer ;-)

    Hey all,

    I was having the exact same problems described here earlier. I was playing around with that graphAPI and when I was acting as my App in Facebook and requested the statuses it said I didn't have the right permissions within Facebook. So I accepted the access token for the statuses information. As a consequence I was able to access my statuses via the graphAPI and they were fetched by the plugin as well.

    I'm just having one more issue: I set it to display the last 10 posts. I figured only public posts are shown. So I set some designated posts to public, but they don't show, even if they are visible to the public. My latest posts are kinda old, so I was wondering if there is a limiter to only display the posts of the last 3 weeks or so and then of course the question, can I set it myself and where?

    Hi Danny,

    Plugin looks good, great job. Needs a bit tweaking here... The plugin is not fetching my FB posts but a certain default message that reads:

    Grab all the FREE eBooks you want right now http://t.co/PmfQs52u via @FreeEbooksNet 0 likes 0 comments · 2 weeks ago

    I've never had anythign on FreeEbooksNet on my FB. Please help urgently!

    it seems you have a misspelled FB id ... just fetched the public status of someone else ...

    I found the problem. I have a lot of activities on FB that are not of type Status. That makes the list fetched by the graph API very long without finding any posts to show. When the paging sets in, there is only the most recent status to display.

    I had to change the graph api call to fb-id/statuses instead of fb-id/posts?type=status and then for the timestamp use 'updated_time' instead of 'created_time'

    Now it shows all my status updates only. I like it now :)

    My question now is how to get the link(s) associated with the time stamp to actually load the post in FB and not my blog. Any ideas out there?

    Another thing that kind of drives me over the hill is that I can't change the title Recent Facebook Posts to my language. I edited every instance everywhere in any and all *.php/html and still no changes.

    I'll give a rest now :-)

    Me again :-)

    I restored the graph api call back to fb-id/posts?type=status and timestamp to 'created_time'. Cleared cache and all. It is working with these settings.
    Only the link problem and 'title' that remains to be solved.
    Otherwise happy with the plugin :-)

    Hey,

    i had the same link issue. I figured what facebook expects to show the post out of a link, therefore i filled the field with the information needed, even if you don't get it directly from the database.
    Here's what i finally did:

    //catch FB information, even if the field privacy is not stated, it limits the results to the public entries, don't actually know why :)
    $posts = $fb->api($opts['fb_id'].'/posts?fields=privacy,message,created_time,comments,likes,link,from&type=status&limit=100');

    //split user and post ID (userID_postID)
    $idArray = explode("_",$p['id']);

    //create Link
    $post['link'] = "http://www.facebook.com/".$opts['fb_id']."/posts/".$idArray[1];

    works for me :)

    Yeah, well, the title is set up within the widget properties. I changed it and it just appears as stated. No adjustments neccessary for me on this one.

    If I only now could figure out why my changes in the widget properties doesn't appear the way I altered it. Puzzling...

    Sorry guys, I've been away for a few days and now have to catch up with everything.

    @Peter, great work! I'll implement this into the plugin, didn't know there was such a call (/statuses/). I'll look into creating the link like that, can't think of any problems it might create right now so probably will just copy your snippet. Thanks a lot!

    @Johnny, what do you mean? You can't change the widget title for frontend usage? Or you just want to change the way the widget is named in the backend?

    Danny I've changed the admin look to show in my language with no problem. However I can't for the life of me figure out why my changes of 'title' /Name in the class-rfb-widget.php doesn't show ie frontend.
    Maybe for future plugin updates you could add this Title option in settings?

    Johnny, you don't need to dig into the code to change the title of the widget in the frontend. Just set a different title in the widget instance settings (WP Admin > Appearance > Widgets > ...).

    I am confused about what you mean to do though..

    Danny, my misstake. I've been so into the code about the rest so it slipped my mind totally about the settings in widgets. I apoligize for this. Sometimes the brain is so narrow in its way of solving a problem that the obvious solution is the hardest to find :-)

    Hi Danny,

    I've been using your plugin, which is great. However, it is exhibiting a strange quirk. It is only showing items that were 'shared' on the facebook wall. Is there a setting or code edit that you are aware of that addresses this odd behavior?
