Ok, so I wanted to customize the random redirect features on my site to be more category-specific. Unfortunately I'm hitting an odd snag.
These categories work:
http://squackle.com/?random&random_cat_id=7
http://squackle.com/?random&random_cat_id=3
http://squackle.com/?random&random_cat_id=14
Yet, this one doesn't:
http://squackle.com/?random&random_cat_id=10840
The one that doesn't work always goes to the latest post on my site, and not the category I wanted it to go to. Is there a reason why this happens?

Sorry, that is the correct category that exists that isn't working. The other one was for one that i was testing.

We recently put out a refresh of the original Random Redirect, appropriately called "Random Redirect 2" :)
It fixes any of the category issues as well as adds some new parameters like tags, keywords, and dates into the random URL string.
On WordPress: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/random-redirect-2/
With all the examples: http://showappeal.com/random-redirect-2/
