Agree with the others here that this plugin is very cool.
Would like a few more display features.
For example, would like to be able to have the exact same formatting as in the widget, added to a page.
Also, would be excellent if I could specify Random but from a specific set of quotes.
Right now it seems there is Random from all... or show all from specific tag set. But nothing in between :(

As for formatting, you can modify or add your own styling to the quotes-collection.css file that comes along with the plugin. http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_reference.asp is an excellent place to refer if you are not much familiar with CSS.
And, well, if you want to have a random quote from specific set of quotes, I suggest you tag those specific quotes with a keyword and choose that tag to filter. Anyway thanks for your suggestion, I'll consider adding more ways of filtering quotes.

Yes, that is what I'm doing, however it lists all the quotes. Would like it show a random from a provided tag set. Something that .css alone does not allow for,
Basically I want to duplicate what the widget does, but on a post, or anywhere on the site.
Is that possible? Will look at the widget code as well.

I really like this plugin and am currently using it as a sidebar widget. It would be great to expand it's functionality to certain pages (or even posts) on my site. My question is similar to Casemon's:
For my site, I would like to have a single random quote on different pages of my site. The random quote, though, would be derived from a different tag set according to each page. So, for page A, the random quote would be selected from all "a" tagged quotes. For page B, "b" tagged quotes, and so on.
Is this possible? Thanks for any help!

I am having this exact same question. I would like to display a random quote of a particular tag using the shortcode. Implementing the php code to do this in the page template is not working because this content is being drawn into another script that needs the output in the "content" section.
This is an option when using the base php script but in the shortcode options there is only "|tags" and "|random". Is there any way to do both?
