Quick Page/Post Redirect Plugin
Not able to make redirects open in a New Window... (3 posts)

Not sure if it's me, but I only seem to be able to create "Quick (301) Redirects" only.

From the documentation I've read here and in my dashboard relating to the plugin, I should be able to create more than just 301 redirects using this plugin.

I have tried looking for a way to include code of some kind or another to add to my links to make them open in a new window, but I am not a pro coder and can't figure it out. I've tried adding "#target=_blank", and a few other variations.

Please advise... All I want is for certain links like my social media links to open up in new windows/tabs rather than the same one as my blog.

FYI... I have like 5 redirects under "Quick Redirects", yet nothing under "Redirect Summary"...

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem. They open up in the same window.

    Thanks!

Permanent redirects only open up in same page as best as I can figure...

If you want links to open new/blank windows...

Whenever you create a new post or page, you'll find the form fields below the WYSIWYG Editor to create Temporary redirects that can open in new windows...

I haven't tried it yet... but the only idea that comes to mind... is to create a page that doesn't appear in your nav bar/menu... create your links via the WYSIWYG and form fields; then, using those links you created... create 'Pages' with the same Url as your redirects...

Let me know if this works...
