The plugin works but I had to add the prefix wp_ to the table qtranslate_slug.
See "How to rename a table using phpMyAdmin" at http://support.lunarpages.com/knowledge_bases/article/289

How does this plugin work exactly? I found that the plugin added the correct table prefix and it still didn't work.

Another side effect of adding this plugin was that I couldn't rename any of the page slugs. I saw that it added a table to the database but it didn't actually link any of the translated slugs to anything.

    This plugin needs more documentation.

Note that it's still necessary to use the qTranslate language code (query, domain or pre-path mode) in your links
    e.g.
    http://www.mysite.com/slugEN
    http://www.mysite.com/FR/slugFR
    ...
if you get 404 errors with pages, try to put %post_id% in your permalink structure

I'm going to point these recommendations in the plugin readme files, let us know if you still have troubles!

Great, thanks that works changing the permalink structure to %post_id%. I was surprised that it kept the slugs for all the pages even though the permalink structure was changed to post id's. Thanks!

Good, anyway this is an unexpected result since I meant to use a permalink like /%post_id%/%postname%.
However, if one would prefer only IDs in permalinks, this plugin is definitely not necessary and should be deactivated!

First of all: This plugin is just what I was looking for, thank you for your effort!!

Now my problem: I activated the plugin, also changed the permalink structure to /%post_id%/%postname%/ - but the links won't show the slug in the correct language. When editing the page, in the plugin list the slugs are defined for each language. But when I open the link and switch between pages, the slug stays the same for each language.

    Any idea?
    Thanks for your help!!

    Same problem here e.g.
http://domain.com/products/ does not translate to different languages thus the slug remains the same e.g. http://domain.com/sv/products/

The fields for localizing the slug appear in the user interface, but they seem to do 'nothing'.

I haven't tried it with post though, only with pages...

I am running WP 3.2, qTranslate 2.5.23 and qTranslate Slug 0.4

The author of the Slug plugin suggests that WP 3+ users should wait for the qTranslate version 3, which implements the slug translation natively. See comments in here http://www.3dolab.net/en/qtranslateslug-plugin-widget
