It’s actually worse than that… Even bypassing the warning, the plugin does not seem to work with 3.0.1… I hope a fix for it will come soon 🙁
Hello there,
I had the same problem and I found the solution on the qtranslate forum.
http://www.qianqin.de/qtranslate/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1630
After having changed
define(‘QT_SUPPORTED_WP_VERSION’, ‘3.0’);
to
define(‘QT_SUPPORTED_WP_VERSION’, ‘3.0.1’);
on line 78 in qtranslate.php everything works just fine.
enjoy!

As far as I can see, qTranslate latest works just fine on WP3.0.1
The supported version can be upped in qtranslate.php without a problem to get rid of the warning nag.
define('QT_SUPPORTED_WP_VERSION', '3.0.1');
🙂
It does not work for me:
I try to edit a “Page” and once I click on “You can re-enable it by clicking here” the language tabs (French and English in my case) does not work and the text of the page is hidden and not editable.
Worked perfectly with last WP 2.9.x I has until this morning…
Everything has to do with your qtranslate and wordpress versions. Actually each qtranslate version is for a specific wordpress edition.
For example i installed 2.5.14 qtranslate version with 3.0.3 WP version and got this weird error message. This happened because if you visit the official page at http://www.qianqin.de/qtranslate/download/, the 2.5.14 qtranslate corresponds to 3.0.4 WP version!
So, instead of downgrading my qtranslate version by trying to find the previous one and reinstall it, i edited qtranslate.php file on line 78 by changing –>define(‘QT_SUPPORTED_WP_VERSION’, ‘3.0.4’);<– to my WP version which is 3.0.3. Upload file to your site, refresh and the error disappears.
I find this a very “cheap” workaround but its is because the developer although he has created a very functional plugin, has forgotten to correct some simple details. I guess!
happy new year!!!
