[Plugin: PWA+PHP] Captions - can't quite figure it out (2 posts)

I am having a hard time with the captions.

I've uploaded photos and entered text captions in Picasa for each photo in one album, and no captions for the photos in another album.

With the plugin if I select, and then save the setting, to use "Always Show Caption" I only see the caption, overlayed on the photo, when I mouse on it. It is not visible at all times.

When I use "Caption on Hover" I get the caption only if I mouse over the area below the photo (not mouse on the photo).

When I use "Overlay Caption" I get the caption overlayed on the photo (like it does with "Always Show Caption") when I mouse over.

"Never Show Caption" doesn't show the caption.

I've gone ahead and selected 'custom style' and I get the captions now, below the photo. However... even if photos do not have a caption, it will show the image file name, which is not what I want (the file name isn't really a caption). http://www.ratest6.com/new-construction/ https://plus.google.com/photos/114230122715121549144/albums/5688297555668036913?banner=pwa#photos/114230122715121549144/albums/5688297555668036913

If having captions 'on' is global, then I would expect that if the image does not have a caption in Picasa, it wouldn't show anything.

Also... is there any way to turn off the 'image title (alt)' when you mouse over the image? If you select "Never Show Caption" it is kind of pointlesss when the image alt 'title' shows up on mouse hover.

BTW I'm using PWP+PHP Version 0.9.4, and in this set up it is currently WP 3.2.1 - and right now the plugin is set at ALWAYS SHOW CAPTION.
