That is correct, the client will always be redirected to the transaction results page.
Also an email is sent to the potential buyer stating the transaction was successful and the product will be sent.
I get an e-mail with the following subject:
Order Pending: Payment Required
and starting with the following line:
Thank you, your purchase is pending, you will be sent an email once the order clears.
If an client cancels the payment it doesn't always mean that the client wants to cancel the whole order.
I was expecting the transaction to be cancelled and the cancellation page from pronamic to be shown. Actually, the pronamic pages are never shown, only the default transaction results page from wp-e-commerce.
The pages you can create with Pages Generator from the Pronamic iDEAL plugin won't be used in combination with WP e-Commerce. The WP e-Commerce plugin has it's own pages where we can redirect the clients to. The Pages Generator tool is mainly used for iDEAL payment through the Gravity Forms plugin.
