   This plugin always changes a lot more properties that it should. It turns posts on trash on published posts and set to zero every post parent. Do not use this plugin.

   Obliviously there is a problem on your side, either your theme filters or another plugin. The Post Types Order will change only the menu_order value.
   No one ever experienced such issue and we really have allot of reviews and rates. Beside that i don't see how this can happen..

   I use this plugin for some time and it works great for me.

   ..set to zero every post parent..

   As far as i know this allow to sort only non-hierarchical post types, for that reason how it can change the post parent?! I mean is not hierarchical, right?
