Wrong positioning in IE (7 posts)

    Hi Dalton!

    Thanks for the plugin again.

I have just noted a bug with Internet Explorer.

When I use the plugin with Tabs plugin, only half of the image in the slideshow is shown. I am 90% sure there's a bug in positioning with JS or CSS of the image container.

The problem is with Internet Explorer only. Other browsers are just fine.

Check the two tabs in the post in IE: http://ukstudio.ru/?p=66

The first slideshow is OK, but the second one is not shown fully. It does not stretch to its full height.

I would appreciate if you could find some time to clean up the code. It's a great slideshow plugin, but there's some html and css in js, as well as there are two different css files to style.

There shall be more relatively positioned objects, in order to avoid such stuff with IE.

Unfortunately this bug with IE is absolutely annoying, since there are way two many IE-users out there. I can not use the plugin again.

Do you know how you can fix the height bug?

Thanks again and keep up your great work.

In addition, I tried other Tabs plugins, changed their CSS. It's 100% the portfolio slideshow's fault :(

    Hi Sergey,
I am working on a cleanup of the JS & maybe some of the PHP code, so it should be easier to work with in the next version. The CSS will remain the same, though.

I have no idea how to troubleshoot the problem with the Tabs plugin... I think it's impossible to ensure compatibility with 100% of the other plugins out there. I also don't have a working Windows PC right now so it's hard to test with IE. But if you happen to figure it out, please let me know!

BTW, you may be able to fix your height problem by setting an explicit height for your slideshow container in your theme CSS.

Thank you for your great tip. The hint to search in the theme CSS has lead to a solution.

There was 'overlay: hidden' in the slideshow container!
Thanks, Dalton, you are very helpful!
