Slideshow not working after WordPress crash and recovery...HELP (4 posts)

Ok, this will take some explaining because it was a strange circle of events. I do the website for the church I go to. I have WordPress 3.2.1 installed. I was using Portfolio slideshow version 1.3.3 with no problems.
I then tried to edit something in my "functions.php" which I now know NOT TO DO because my wordpress crashed. I had to FTP the function.php file back into the root of the site. The site came back up, but the slideshow did NOT WORK. The theme I am using is "Absolum v.1.1.1".
I know it is something in the theme because I switched the theme to "Twenty-Ten" and the slideshow worked!

As far as I know, this was the first edit I ever tried to make in the function.php of this theme...So WHY WOULD"NT IT WORK?

Here is the link to the page. You can see the loader animation, but the images never load...

    Any help would be appreciated!!!!

    Hi Gnoegel,
I highly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of Portfolio Slideshow. It will speed up your slideshows drastically. Once you've done that, if it's still not working, let me know.

Also, check your post in HTML mode and make sure you're not wrapping the shortcode in any HTML tags.

    Cheers,
    Dalton

I upgraded the slideshow and made sure the shortcode wasnt wrapped in html tags. Still does not work. I still think it is a theme conflict....maybe the functions.php...That is the page I was editing before the slideshow stopped working...

    Again, thanks for your response
