I feel unbelievably stupid, but I can't get a portfolio slideshow to show up on the homepage, and only on the homepage -- all my conditional tags don't seem to work.
I'm using the WP Framework theme. Many many thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not familiar with that theme, but if you're using the do_shortcode() function to add it directly to the template, the standard WP conditional tags should work just fine. Just make sure you have images attached to the page where you want the slideshow to appear, too.
