Support » Plugins » [Plugin: Portfolio Slideshow]

  • was really happy to discover this plugin the other day as it seemed to be one of the only minimal straight forward slideshow plugins that could run off the wordpress gallery.

however began uploading photos to some of my pages and it seems some of them have stopped working.

this is an example of a working page:

    http://thomasjwpayne.com/site/?page_id=8

whereas this is an example of a page where it was working yesterday but not now:

    http://thomasjwpayne.com/site/?page_id=116

both pages have images uploaded to the gallery and are using the [portfolio_slideshow] tag. i can see no difference between them. have tried removing and reinstalling the plugin with no success. if anyone has any advice i would be extremely grateful.

i should add that the [portfolio_slideshow] tag in the broken page is stopping anything from being posted there at all.

also this is the plugin itself: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/portfolio-slideshow/

    if anyone needed further refernece.

problem resolved. plugin was conflicting with another plugin, the ‘Target Blank In Posts And Comments’ plugin if anyone else is having similar troubles. if you are running this plugin you might find portfolio slideshow will only let you display a maximum of two images at a time.

Thanks, I will take a look at that other plugin and see what’s going on. This is almost always caused when a plugin or theme calls jQuery directly, rather than using wp_enqueue.

    Hi Thomas,
I gave that plugin a try on my testing server and couldn’t replicate your problem. It may have been a conflict between those two plugins and a third, or with your theme. Let me know if you feel like helping me troubleshoot, otherwise I will chalk it up to a mystery of the universe. : )

    Cheers,
    Dalton

reckon it must have been the javascript in my theme. checked all my plugins systematically at the time!
