There is page_for_posts in wp_options – how to disable polylang for that page ?

To be honest, I created the PLL_DISPLAY_ALL option in v0.5 per user request. This option is “hidden” because I believed that it would be useful for only a very small minority of users and also because I was not very confident that what is obtained is what was requested.

I did not get any feedback on it so did not spend time testing this option since I released it. Due to your request, I just came back on it and saw that it is obviously buggy. Since nobody reported it, I take that as a proof that the option is not used. I will probably undocument it, maybe remove it.

So I agree that the option will not be your solution. And unfortunately, I have no easy solution to propose. Sorry.

Maybe it is possible to define Conditional_Tags where translations can be enabled – is_page, is_category …
    From: http://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags

By default enable them everywhere. Then it is more comfortable!

Using checkboxes in plugin configuration under settings can be option.
