[Plugin: PollDaddy Polls & Ratings] Polldaddy will not import polls

hi!

I just installed the Polldaddy plugin, but cannot import any of my polls that I’ve created at Polldaddy.com. The polls ‘folder’ is just empty. on the support forums of Polldaddy (at http://support.polldaddy.com/installing-wordpress-org-plugin/) a possible solution is provided by removing the checkmark from “Use SSL to login”. alas, there is no such checkbox available anymore, although I saw it when doing the first installation. in addition, deactivating and reactivating the plugin will not bring that option back. is there a way to completely uninstall this plugin and start over?

or do you know of any other possible solution for this problem?

I tried also with the Better WP Polldaddy Polls plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bwp-polldaddy/), and created an API key for it as instructed, but that one will not display my existing polls either through the available widget.
