Hi there, I'm afraid you cannot simply remove the header to get round this problem. You need access to the URL, api.polldaddy.com to be able to use the plugin. Can you ask your host to authorize this URL?

    Yes , ;-) I think so ;-)

I explain : The plug in work correctly (=rating count works well ) : My host authorize this url , but the text stay in the administration dashboard , it is not possible setup the plug in in my WordPress administration dashboard. I need use the polldaddy.com site for setup my polls .( no problem for me).
I think perhaps (?) the bug was just in the administration application only.

    Hi

I have a similar issue. I am running WordPress inside the Joomla framework using CorePHP's "WordPress in Joomla" component.

I have installed the PollDaddy plugin, but the link to the page where you input the account details doesn't work inside this framework.

I have noticed a file called polldaddy.php which has a line of code which says:-

// You can hardcode your PollDaddy PartnerGUID (API Key) here
    //define( 'WP_POLLDADDY__PARTNERGUID', '12345...' );

If I un-comment this line and input the client's API key, will that work?

Any assistance you could offer would be great.

@jefblog, the application does not look in the database for your login details, only the login form.

@murrayzz1, if you try to register with the Polldaddy API here, you will get an API key, you can enter it in place of the '12345' and unrem the line.

I don't think it will solve your problem however, because if you cannot communicate with Polldaddy domain to register with the API, its unlikely the application will be able to communicate with the API. In this case the plugin will not work... but you give it a try.

You will probably need to figure out what is preventing the plugin from communicating with the Polldaddy domain in the first place and fix it.

    Hi Eion

Thanks for your help. Turns out this was something really simple. The link that is created if the PollDaddy details are not entered is /edit.php?page=polls, so this was failing because with the application being hosted within Joomla, that page doesn't exist so it defaults to the home page.

This link is intended to link to the "Polls" page, so it is simple enough to just select that from the left menu, where the PollDaddy details can be entered.

    Cheers

    Murray
