Ok - the earlier error was fixed so I could now get a look at this plugin.

Either adding or editing, you can't choose your Custom Poll Styles.

And displaying the poll using shortcode - I have to download and install another plugin from the PollDaddy site to get that to work? That feature can't be integrated so we only need one plugin?

If you are running the most recent version (0.4), you do not need that second plugin. The shortcode thing was a bug.

Custom Poll styles (and a few other features) were intentionally left out in this initial release. Future versions of the plugin may include more features.

    ok

    1) I'm running 0.4 and the shortcode isn't working.

    2) When I create a new poll in the WordPress interface it creates two listings of the poll.

Do you have multiple versions of the plugin installed somehow?

Do you have any other PollDaddy plugins installed?

Sometimes creating a new poll is a slow process. Is it possible you pushed the Save Poll button more than once?

Try deleting the plugin and re-uploading it. If you installed it with FTP, sometimes FTP corrupts or fails to overwrite files.

Nope - no multiple or other polldaddy plugins.

I deleted and re-uploaded the plugin.

i tried creating a new poll and it created two records for the poll in wordpress.

now its only lists twice on the All Blog's Polls - under All My Polls and on the PollDaddy site it only lists one.

Now as far as the shortcodes - apparently those don't work when using <?php echo get_the_content(); ?> instead of <?php the_content(); ?> - i use <?php echo get_the_content(); ?> to strip out the <p> tags wordpress automatically throws in the content - so i might just be stuck using the javascript code from the polldaddy site.

I switched back to using <?php the_content(); ?> in my theme.

Other suggestion: ability to generate javascript code to insert in other parts of a theme.

    Showing twice:
Odd - if possible, can you try disabling all your other plugins to see if that still happens? There may be some strange conflict. If there is a conflict, it's probably fixable in the PollDaddy plugin code.

    the_content() v. get_the_content()
I had no idea. If you haven't already, you could add a filter to the_content in your theme's functions.php file to strip out the paragraph tags while still allowing you to use the_content()

    JS code:
I agree. There should be a way to grab the JS code and the shortcode (without sending it to a post first).
