    Been using Podpress for a while. Latest versions makes my WP crash, so I stick to 8.7, the last version working properly for my theme.

    I uploades a newpodcast yesterday It can be heard and it can be downloaded. But it don't generate new stats.

    If I press in calculate lenght or size, this appears:

    <b>Warning</b>: parse_url(/wp-content/plugins/podpress/podpress_backend.php?action=getfilesize&filename=http://www.viruete.com/podcast/Podcast_24_Viruete.com.mp3) [function.parse-url]: Unable to parse URL in <b>/web/htdocs/www.viruete.com/home/wp-content/plugins/podpress/podpress.php</b> on line <b>151</b>

    If I press into Tag Info, this appears:

    parse_url(/wp-content/plugins/podpress/podpress_backend.php?action=showID3Contents&filename=http://www.viruete.com/podcast/Podcast_24_Viruete.com.mp3&keynum=0) [function.parse-url]: Unable to parse URL in /web/htdocs/www.viruete.com/home/wp-content/plugins/podpress/podpress.php on line 151

    Any ideas? Thanks in anticipation

    podPress 8.7 is more than 4 years old.

    What is you WP version? Is it really 3.4.2?

    A quick fix for this problem is to put an @ in front of the parse_url() command in line 151 of your podpress.php file. That will make this particular warning message vanish.
    old:

    $podPress_x = parse_url($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']);

    new:

    $podPress_x = @parse_url($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']);

    But notice that this will fix the problem only superficially. The current version of podPress 8.8.10.13 includes real a bug fix for this issue. It would be better if you would install a newer version of the plugin.
    If the newer version makes trouble somehow then please describe the nature of those problems. Maybe I fix them.
