Hi Ben,
this is probably a problem which is caused by the Permalink settings of your blog.
Have you changed them recently or did you modify the .htaccess file in the root directory of your blog?
If I enter this URL “http://www.benzmixes.com/?feed=rss2” then I end up at “http://www.benzmixes.com/index.php/feed/” and that is definitely not right.
Also the About page is not reachable.
(podPress has probably nothing to do with these problems.)
Please, try to set the Permalink scheme back to the default one.
Control also the content of the .htaccess file.
Maybe take a look at this http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Creating_and_editing_.28.htaccess.29
Regards,
Tim
Hmm i haven’t changed anything – I have done some auto WordPress updates so maybe smething got changed there….
thanks, having a look into this…

The problem seems to be solved. The /?feed=rss2 Feed and the About page are working again.
Hmm, http://www.benzmixes.com/?feed=rss2 is working and valid but iTunes fails to update the Podcast and says ‘cannot find http://www.benzmixes.com/feed’ – which is not a URL I see anywhere in settings…

http://www.benzmixes.com/feed works only while you are using a non-default Permalink setting/sheme. Currently, you are using the default Permalink scheme.
This URL would lead to the same feed as http://www.benzmixes.com/?feed=rss2.
If it says “[…] cannot find http://www.benzmixes.com/feed%5B…%5D” then you have probably registered your feed with this URL scheme.
Regards,
Tim
Where do I change what feed is registered?

I would suggest to activate a non-default Permalink scheme like “Day and name” and to use the iTunes:New-Feed-Url option on the Fedd/iTunes Settings page in the “Settings for the default Feeds” section. There you can insert the new URL and if this feature is enabled podPress adds the new URL to the Feed and the iTunes Store will take over the new URL in a couple of days. After this action you can switch the Permalink scheme again.
That is basically the way which is recommended in the iTunes Podcasting Resources for changing the Feed URL.
Hey guys,
It’s happened again 🙁 I really don’t know how to fix it now… and I don’t know why it broke again!
FYI my podcast on iTunes is at http://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-ben-gomori-podcast/id270216984
I’d love some help!
Thanks

It looks like the Permalinks in your blog are not working very well. For instance both Feed URL versions http://www.benzmixes.com/feed http://www.benzmixes.com/?feed=rss2 end up on a “404 Page not found” page. Since /?feed=rss2 gets redirected to /feed I would say that a non-default Permalink scheme is active. But the redirect is not correct.
Furthermore this problem is not only related to th Feed URLs the majority of the page links in your blog does not work either (the same with the post links in the bottom sidebar).
I’m not sure what is causing it. But you could start with a look into the .htaccess file. Is it in place and does it contain the the lines descript here:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Where.27s_my_.htaccess_file.3F
Does it contain more than these lines?
Did you install some sort of a security plugin recently?
Maybe switch back to the default Permalink scheme and look whether it makes a difference.
Hey -thanks, switching back to default worked.
Old pages/ sections are working, and I can manually subscribe to my podcast in iTunes by selecting Advanced -> Subscribe To Feed…
But if I search for my podcast in iTunes, it doesn’t show up. Any ideas?
Thanks

You are right. It seems that your podcast no longer in the iTunes podcast repository.
I can only speculate about the reason.
Maybe you should register the RSS feed again.
Excuse my ignorance but how does one do that? I can’t remember doing it in the first place
cheers

Thanks – gave that a try and it said ‘that feed has already been submitted’.
When I try to ‘report a concern’ via clicking on my podcast in my subscriptions it says ‘You did not subscribe to this feed through the iTunes Store. Please contact the owner of the site you subscribed through.’
So I contacted myself and reached a dead end!
