[resolved] Podpress stats per post are gone... help! (9 posts)

    Hello,

I am having issues with the podpress stats on my site. The total number of downloads shows up correctly within the dashboard, but if I click on podpress to view the stats by post, all of the stats are gone.

Anyone else having this issue? Any solution?

    Thanks,
    Jon

Which Stat Method do you use?

"Use WP Statistics" with stat logging "Full +"

I've been using this setting since December 2010 with no issues... The issue appeared with the update to 8.8.10.1

You are right there is a problem. But it is most likely only a problem with the display of the results. The raw list should contain all downloads (like the table at the dashboard.).

I'm going to fix that and report back.

But I have also one more question: Which table does not show the result anymore? "Downloads Per Media File" or "Downloads Per Post"?

BTW: Is there a reason why you are using Full+ and not the recommended Full logging method? (It is more safe to use Full. Although it does not solve the current problem.)

    Regards,
    Tim

I have written a bug fix for the problem. I would appreciate it if you could test the current Development Version (8.8.10.2 beta).

    Tim,

Thanks so much for the fast turn around. I would be glad to test the development version. I usually update through my dashboard. How do I go about updating to the development version?

    Jon,

download the .zip file of the Development Version from the list of the Other Versions of podPress.

    • Extract the files (When you do that there will be a folder with the name podpress. This folder contains all the files of the plugin.)
    • Connect with a FTP program of your choice with your blog (or there are other ways to upload files to your blog. How do you upload your podcast episodes?)
    • open the folder /wp-content/plugins/podpress on the server and the podpress folder of the extracted files on your computer
    • replace the PHP files in this folder with the ones from Development Version (Usually it is better to delete all the old file and sub folders and to upload the new files and sub folders afterwards. But this time I have modified only some of the PHP and is okay to replace only them.)

(I meant: replace the files in /wp-content/plugins/podpress on the server with the ones from the podpress folder on your computer.)

    Tim,

I installed the Development Version and it seems to be working... all the stats are back.
