   Fantastic plugin, my iTunes and mp3 specific feed are working great (http://www.technophiliapodcast.com)

   However, I'm running into problems with the inline player having made my main iTunes feed as .m4a enhanced podcast files (chapters and graphics etc). When it was an mp3, it played fine. Now, the player just doesn't work, but I can't figure out why.

   I have both m4a and mp3 version attached to the post, but how do I tell it to add a player for the mp3 version and NOT the m4a. I've tried the "disable this file for embedded player" option, but that just removes the player entirely!

   I thought podPress player was compatible with m4a?

   podPress includes no player for m4a files (like it has 2 for mp3 files). It inserts the m4a files in as an object which signals the web browser that a browser plugin like QuickTime is necessary to play such a file. If a browser plugin is installed then it is possible to play m4a episodes. Otherwise it will not play.
   podPress has currently only players for mp3, flv, ogg and ogv files. For all other file types it shows only a preview of what the player might like and relies on browser plugins.

   In the podPress box below the post editor you can find an option "Disable Player: [ ] (Use if this media file is not compatible with one of the included players.)". If you check this box the preview of the player will vanish but the download link and the other information below the player will stay.

   Hmm, thanks Tim. Do you have an idea how I can achieve this then? I mean, I would like some kind of player there - if I have the URL of the mp3 version, is there a way to embed that manually?

   I'm sorry! I have not read the last paragraph of your first post.

   You can add both files to one post and you could use the ""Disable Player: [ ] ..." option to hide the preview of the player of the m4a file. But each of the files has this option. This allows you to hide only the (preview of the) player of one of the media file e.g. the m4a file. The player of the mp3 file would still be visible.
   If you add both versions of the episode and you want to see only the mp3 version in the blog post then you could check for the m4a version the option "Indlude in: [] RSS [x] ATOM [x] Feed Only". The cross at "Feed Only" lets the m4a version only appear in certain RSS or ATOM feeds. (Since it is only possible to one media file to one post in an RSS feed, you need to decide with the cross at RSS which one of the 2 files goes into the main RSS feeds. But you can add an additional podPress Feed to your blog which delivers the posts with the m4a version.)

   So it is possible. Add both files to one post and hide the player or all elements of one version of the episode.
