• How do you interpret the podpress stats? The plugin gives numbers for

FEED WEB PLAY TOTAL but I see no description of exactly what these represent.

The feed number is the highest, but I have very few RSS subscribers, so I doubt that’s what FEED represents (people who listed via RSS). And what’s the difference between WEB and PLAY?

Finally, is there a better way to get my podcast stats? I’m not using feedburner because it interferes with some of the feeds that my iphone app uses.

    Thanks!

    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

Feed: stands for downloads via the RSS and ATOM feeds of your blog. That includes downloads through iTunes Store (if you have registered your podcast feed there).

Web: This are downloads via the Download links in your posts.

Play: This number show you how often someone has clicked on one of the players which are in your blog posts.

Total is the sum of these three values.

All numbers are clicks and they don’t show whether someone has listen or downloaded a full episode.

    Regards,
    Tim
