  • Is there a way to make the title rewrite work?

It’s up to a search engine to choose what they want to display. (It is their web site, after all.) An SEO plugin can only make suggestions to a search engine. If that plugin isn’t doing it for you, try another.

Keep in mind that search engines change their search and results algorithms all the time, so what works now may not work tomorrow.

So if Platinum SEO doesn’t do what it claims to do, it’s Google’s fault? Seems like a rather strange way to run a plug-in!

Not exactly. Platinum SEO shouldn’t claim to do something they ultimately have no control over. Search engines change their algorithms all the time, in part to try to prevent people using certain techniques to try to game the system. A search engine is only relevant if the results they return are relevant. If you can figure out their algorithms and then tweak your site to return a less than relevant result, they lose out, and ultimately, you do as well.

An easy to navigate site, lots of relevant content, participation in online communities are the way to build up a web presence. Every search engine will tell you this in their recommendations.

I appreciate your comments, but I think we’re talking about two different things.

I understood that Platinum SEO does “A”, as explained in my first post.
    P-SEO isn’t doing “A”.
My expectation is that, as a ‘business,’ someone from P-SEO will reply and either explain that
    1) my understanding of what P-SEO does is incorrect, or
    2) I’ve implemented P-SEO improperly, or
    3) acknowledge the issue and explain if and when it will be addressed.

That’s it. My question and point has nothing to do with the game the SEO community plays interminably with search engines. It’s a matter of customer service between me and P-SEO. I understand Google may well have changed things to outsmart P-SEO. That understanding doesn’t help me with the practical issue described above.

    Thanks.

Then you might want to try over here:
