I dont know if anyone has already noticed but I think the Automatic 301 redirects of Platinum SEO Pack is not working.
Even if you try to change the permalink, someone that would be able to access your site from search engines would just end up on an Error 404 Page.
I tried to leave a comment on the Techblissonline.com but to my surprise, it was rejected and deleted. All the plugin owner can do was to accept positive comments.
Hope that the Permanent 301 Redirect function would be fixed on the next update

It never worked. He just copied the code from another plugin, and it never worked there either. Test if for yourself at http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en-us&q=301+redirect+checker&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 with and without the plugin enabled. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/redirection/ is the only plugin that successfully does 301 redirection.
Im gonna give that redirection plugin a try

Any input from the author of this plugin about the claim that it does 301 redirects???? or should we use something else for our blog?

I just checked at one of those 301 redirect checkers and my site's redirects work. I'm using the last version of Platinum SEO pack.
Problem is... it redirects anyway even when I uncheck the redirect box, so I probably did something elsewhere :)
