   I have a pop out Wordspew chat complete with BuddyPress Activity stream above it rotating threw the latest 20 items and it refreshes the live stream every 5 mins without reloading the rest of the page.

   I've also modified it for display on mobile phones. If anyone is interested I can share how I've done it.

   I don't think this could be a plugin. But I can do a tutorial is anyone is interested.
