   I have the competition on a url as: /competition

   Each month the competition 'refreshes'. However I have just tried to do this today and cannot get the same url? i.e. /competition. Instead it automatically creates the url as /competition-2. Even though the original '/competition' page has been deleted.

   I have done major seo work to this url over the last month and have facebook 'likes', been social bookmarked, as well as text links on many, many competition promotional websites. Now that work seems to have been undone!

   Is there no way to keep the comp on the same url? i.e. /competition instead of adding a new number each month? I will create a 301 if not, but hopefully looking for a better solution of keeping original url. thank you.

   When creating a new contest a new page/post.
   Wordpress itself add the -number thinggie.

   Goto settings and tweak with parent page or change page to post.
   Just look at the options and test/try what suits best.

   Note: how are you handling the contest folder?

   This may work:

   Goto wp-admin --> photocontest --> change settigns

   1. Set Parent page to competition
   2. Set Page type to post

   The reason why I ask about the contest_folder, is because the plugin saves all information with the 'unique' name of the contest...
