[Plugin: Personal Fundraiser] Donations showing up as anonymous

A client I developed a site for is using personal fundraiser to raise funds for a charity event he’s having. Love the plugin, but am having some issues with donations showing up as anonymous.

He’s adding donations in himself in the wordpress backend, and whenever he does, they show up as anonymous.

I’m also having trouble deleting “test donors” from the list of donors appearing for a campaign. I remove everything related to them, but they still appear on his website.

There is a check box in the admin interface that marks a donation as anonymous. Perhaps your client is checking this checkbox? As far as deleting test donors, you probably are still seeing the donors listed in the comments as each donation is listed as a comment.

Is there a way to get rid of the comment then? I’ve tried deleting the comment myself as well, unless I’m doing something wrong or missing something to get rid of the test donors.

I’ve wondered if he’s checking the anonymous box as well…I’ve tried to duplicate the problem he’s having, and I can’t.

You would have to delete the comment directly from the database.

Hi!

I’m also having the same problem, deleting a donor. I delete the comment but the name’s still on the list.

How do I delete the comment from the database as you suggested?

If you delete the comment using the WordPress admin, it should no longer appear on the list of contributions. (Eg you can remove “Joe Blow donated $50).

If you are trying to remove a donor from the list of donors, unfortunately there is currently no way to do this.

I am having the same issue sort of, if there is a donation made via paypal, the tally, donor tally, and their name and amount all update and show as they should.

Now when I am logged in and manually enter a donation that I receive (cash wise) when I enter their first name, last name, email, amount, and a small description, when I click show donors to see the list, all of the donations that I manually enter show as Anonymous, is there something that I am missing or not figuring out with this? you can see the implementation of the plugin here: http://www.fundsforgreys.ca (Under the Donate Now link).

I will also add, that I fill all the information out to add a donation and make sure I do not click anonymous gift, and the name still appears as anonymous, not sure if it’s a glitch with 3.5.1 or not.

I have to show the list of donations, then go to edit, and then type their name in correctly for it to appear on the site. If that helps at all to figure this out.
