  • I know that the default is that all protected pages can be seen by Admins or Editors roles. However, I have two Editors and I want one to not have access to some of the pages. I’ve tried making a new role with the same privileges as Editor and hoped that the plugin won’t give it permission to view my protected content, but it still didn’t not work. Any thoughts?

WordPress roles don’t distinguish between SPECIFIC content. They’re primarily designed to limit admin capabilities globally.

Since PSC is designed to limit user access only, it always concedes precedence to WordPress’s built-in roles. This means that an Editor will always be able to access all content that the Editor role is privy to, and PSC won’t interfere. This is by design since we want to avoid accidental/unintended mishaps like admins accidentally “locking themselves out of the car”.

You might try giving your editor users Contributor-level access and setting them as authors for only the specific posts/pages you want them to edit. This should theoretically have the effect you’re looking for.
