non-square image sizes? (5 posts)

    I really appreciate this plugin.
I tried width = 200 and height = 100 and it displayed 100x100 image (i.e. smallest dimension square).
If my child page's featured images are 600x300 and I want this plugin to display as 200x100 instead of 100x100, how can I do that?
    Thank you.

    Does this shortcode work?

    [pagelist_ext image_width="200" image_height="100"]

    With this code:

    [pagelist_ext show_image="1" image_width="200" image_height="200"]
    -
    [pagelist_ext image_width="200" image_height="100"]

    Here's what I see: http://screencast.com/t/A9LoB8qBhfEV
    The first set is, oddly, 200 w x 115 h -- the actual image's ratio.
    The second set is 100x100.
The actual image pulled by the plugin for the first set is 300x179.

    So, no.

As I understood when thumbnail is too small (less then 150x150) WordPress gives square image thumbnail of 150x150 and the size is changed with html img "width" param.

Strange behavior. Sorry, but I don't know how to fix it.
You may try to set new smaller than 150x150 thumb size with set_post_thumbnail_size, may be it will help.

I like the 200x200 setting that outputs the 200x115 for this particular site. First time I've ever used the plugin, but I like it.
    I figured if I put 200x100, it'd display either A) a cropped version or B) a non-square version that fits within a 100x200 area, depending on the image's dimensions.
Apparently some 200x200 "hack" or a variation will get the job done. It's just not intuitive.

Anyways, last thing I'll request on this plugin is that it enables "Excerpts" for Pages. So if this plugin is activated, Pages have Excerpt box. Or, even better, an option within the plugin's settings to turn Page Excerpts on or off.
I tried a 2 other plugins like this one and apparently 1 or 2 of the 3 (i.e. not this one) enabled it and then it went away when I settled on this plugin. I thought it to be an appropriate and convenient feature.

Thank you again for this plugin.
