    Hi all. πŸ™‚
Am so thrilled with wordpress on my personal blogsite that I have installed it on another website I have and am currently in the process of setting things up there, but I’ve run into a couple problems here that I didn’t have when setting things up on my personal site. (I’m using version 1.5.2 for both sites.)

First problem is, when I go into the admin panel and activate a plugin, the plugin then won’t show up as being highlighted in green, and the word “Activate” next to the plugin does not change to “Deactivate.” However, I do get a message at the top of the page saying the plugin has been activated.

The second problem, and this may be related to the first, is with Ryan Duff’s Contact Form plugin. I have installed it and hit the activate button, but again, this plugin does not get highlighted in green, although it does say “Plugin activated” at the top of the page. When I go to the Options page to fill out the information for the contact form, the Contact Form does not show up there so I can’t fill out any info.

Any pointers, anyone? Thank you. πŸ™‚

  • Stupid question, but…
Did you upload both files for the plugin? There is a second one called something “contact-options” or similar.

Yep, uploaded both pages for the contact form plugin.

I don’t understand it – both sites are with the same host and I’m using the same version of WordPress for both. But I didn’t have this problem at all on my blogsite. I’ve been doing searches through the archives and so on but I can’t find anything that seems to make sense – seems like there have been quite a few people with the same problem, but a lot of different solutions!

Well, so far here’s what I’ve done to try to fix it:

Went into my cpanel and deleted the first MySQL database, then created a new one with a new name. Changed the wp-configure.php page accordingly and uploaded that. Went to my site and needed to go through install.php again, so I did that but I’m still having the same problem. πŸ™

I know someone else was having the same problem recently….anyone else have any input for this issue? I’ve no clue. πŸ™
