[Plugin: oQey-Gallery] Some images won't upload

    For some reason, certain images won’t upload to the gallery and I can’t figure out why. It’ll go through the upload process, I’ll see the progress bar complete, the page will refresh, and then .. nothing.

    The problem first cropped up last night when I tried to upload a bunch of new photos and NONE of them went through. Then on a whim I resized them all from 1280w to 1024w and most of them went through except for a couple images. I’ve scrutinized images in question and they are functionally no different from the images that go through just fine. They’re all Baseline JPGs, all saved at the same quality, all saved with the same color profiles, everything is identical.

    I’ve tested in Firefox, Chrome, and IE, so it’s not browser-related.

    Side-note: I tried saving the offending images as Progressive JPGs and they uploaded as big black squares.

    UPDATE:

    I uploaded another batch of images and when most of them didn’t go through, I followed a hunch and resized them. After resizing them down to 1024w, most of them went through except for TWO images, that were 1024×791 (roughly 8×10 aspect ratio). When I stretched them out to make them 1024×680, suddenly they uploaded!

    The issue seems to be tied to image resolution, though I can’t find anything in the limited oQey FAQ that mentions image resolution. Has anyone run into this issue before? Did I miss something in the FAQ?

    i had oqey gallery installed on a test site just one week ago, and all the images im trying to upload now i was able to successfully upload then. nothing has changed with my images, so the problem must be with oqey gallery. a bug maybe? the images do not need to be altered, b/c they were made into a gallery just one week ago using oqey gallery on wordpress. same theme. same everything… just a different host. my test site is on 000webhost and my new site is on freehostia’s chocolate plan. (all other plugins are working fine)

    another bit of info, while using oqey gallery on my new site (the one hosted on freehostia) i was able to successfully create one album.

    the second album i tried to create gave me an error500 message.

    the third album i tried to create “worked”, but all the images are black!

    help? i have searched, but noone seems to have an answer to this specific problem.
