    Hey, Paulo!

I have a question regarding a specific type of usage of your plugin. First of all, sorry for my basic english, hope that my explanation will be clear enough.

I'm currently developing a mobile theme for TF. Normally the client will not use that theme standalone, but together with his regular desktop one. I'm working on a plugin which will detect the viewport device and show the relevant theme. That means that the mobile one will be inactive at the admin area.

Is there a way for using your plugin in that case (please notice that the "desktop" theme may also use OptionTree and I don't want to mess up its options)?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi, DodoWeb!

I am not the author. I just try to help other users, I love this plugin, the author is Derek Herman.

About your question, I think I understand, the theme for mobile will not activated within the /wp-admin/themes.php, right?

The plugin still works even if the theme is disabled. I not have experience with mobile... But I believe you will not have problems, Derek can give you a better answer.

    Thanks!

And sorry about the author confusion. I will test how it works when the theme is inactive later today.

    Cheers

    Hi again!

Just checked the options while the theme is not active and unfortunately they didn't appear.

In other word (based on my experience with the plugin so far), the options won't became active if I don't activate the theme via /wp-admin/themes.php

    Any solution/workaround for that?

    Thanks!

If you've saved the options in OptionTree specific to the mobile theme and desktop theme you would be able to use them anywhere in any theme. OptionTree is theme agnostic, so it doesn't require a theme to work. Your theme just uses OptionTree to save data instead of creating a theme options panel on a per theme basis.

In the mobile theme you would use the saved options from OptionTree just like you would in the desktop theme.

    Hope that makes sense?
