I'm using OptionTree 2.0.9 and I can no longer add new Settings or change existing ones, even though the plugin says "Settings Updated".

Has the theme author locked down the settings by adding a theme-options.php if so then the settings cannot be changed as they are forcing the ones that the theme requires to work and you'll need o edit that file if you want other settings.

    Hi,
I can't find a theme-options.php; I do remember that in 2.0.8 I could alter the settings, but now in the new version I no longer can't.

I can't help you without access to your website, send login details to derek[at]valendesigns.com and I may also need FTP access to check your themes files.

I've looked at the server files and the author has made it so you can't edit the settings. I commented out that code (lines 55-60 in functions.php) and you can now add settings again. This was not an OT issue it was a theme issue. In the future you should contact the author first.

I did contact the author, but as I wasn't getting an answer from them, you were my second best bet :)
They must have disabled it in the last update, because before I could edit the settings.

No worries, it's all fixed now. Yeah they're using new features so it must have happened the last time they updated the theme.

    Hi There -
I am having the exact same problem. I can't find a theme-options.php file either, and can't find any code in functions.php that looks like it prevents me from adding option tree settings. I'm using a child theme of a template I purchases.

What is the code I should look for?

    Help much appreciated!

    Thanks
