OpenID was working for both consuming and providing. I did not have XRDS installed and was running WP 3.0.1 on a multisite install.
Providing seems to still work, I'm able to login to other sites.
But consuming seems to lose the login. I get redirected to the provider, log in, get redirected back to the page on my other blog where I want to log in, but I'm not logged in.

I want to confirm that this is happening. I'm seeing this on my website too.
Is there any fix for this?

I realized that this was a rather dumb fix for myself, maybe not for you. Let me preface this by saying my layout is subsite, not subdirectory. The only thing I needed to do to fix this was to go back and add the OpenID URL for each subsite, as well.
I did not go back and check with the 3.0 code to see what caused this change. My guess would be something about what the originating URL of the login (eg - in a layout with http://www.site1.com and http://www.site2.com, maybe the originating URL for both had been http://www.site1.com).
