[Plugin: Online Backup for WordPress] backup failed

    I’m getting the following error message:
    The backup failed: The server attempted to retrieve the data, but received junk from your blog. This can happen if your blog is not accessible over the internet. Otherwise, you may have a third-party plugin installed that is changing the backup data as the server tries to receive it. Please contact support if this is the case so we may improve compatibility. Please consult the event log for more information.
    My site is definitely online, does anyone know of any plugins that would cause a backup to fail?

    Do you have WordPress SEO 1.1 or above?
    This new version has been noted previously as causing a issue.

    I’ve got the platinum SEO pack, version 1.3.7

    Can you try a backup with it disabled?

    Failing that, try disabling plugins one by one until the backup works.
    You’ll find out if any of your plugins are causing the issue then.
    Or you’ll find out if the issue is not a plugin if you end up disabling them all.

    I am getting the same error – I can get a file to download but not backup to the online storage.

    The same failure message – returning junk (plymouth-project.com)

    Hi vrituallight,

    If you have Platinum SEO pack plugin try deactivating it and running a backup and see if it works.
    Otherwise, try disabling some other plugins and running a backup – sometimes they can interfere even though we do our best to prevent this. If you do find a plugin that is conflicting let us know.
