   First, I want to thank you again for the quick response to recent posting. It works fine. Thank you for your efforts!

   Would it be possible to filter instead of just the default WordPress Smilies (hardcoded), enter a URL to a directory to filter?

   For me it would be absolutely fine, to choose a simple approach and as a URL, for example, enter the following:

   /http:\/\/domain.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-monalisa\/icons\/+/

   i've added an option to filter custom urls, but i still need to refine the method to allow regex without producing potential error messages

   right now you can filter like this:

   avatar.png
   http://mysite.wp/wp-content/secret-images
   /not-so-secret/but-this-is-secret.jpg
