Mobile Smart
[resolved] Plugin of desktop site and some CSS is added to mobile theme (3 posts)

    Hello,

I have the following problem with the plugin:

It switches correctly to the mobile theme on my iPhone but the mobile theme uses a plugin from the desktop theme that is not installed in the mobile theme. This plugin seems to "bleed" into the mobile theme (it is the "WP Supersized" plugin, http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-supersized). When I deactivate the plugin in the main/desktop theme it is also deactivated in the mobile theme.

Second problem: a CSS class that I defined in the mobile theme (regarding a menu-text orientation) seems to be overwritten by the mobile-smart plugin in. The text orientation changes although it was correct in the mobile theme. Again here seems to be something "bleeding" over to the mobile theme.

I am using two custom themes, one based on the "Twenty Twelve" and the other on the "_s/underscore"-theme.

Can anybody help with these two things?

    Thank you!

    Hi Arne,

Sorry for the slow reply. I've addressed this issue in Mobile Smart Pro (paid version) plugin, which allows you to deactivate plugins only on the mobile site.

    See http://codecanyon.net/item/mobile-smart-pro/3671362

    Hope this helps,

    Dan

    Hi Dan,

great, thank you! I will most likely check this out. I found a workaround with a different plugin that could run from the theme's header-file so that I could leave it out of the mobile version. But that is a shaky workaround since this alternative might not always be available.

Thank you for your help and the cool plugin!

    Cheers, Arne
