Nick and I are aware of the problem – and we’re working on a proper fix.
One dirty fix was :
1) Login to Canalplan
2) Set your preferences not to use the route planning wizard
3) In a new window go to your blog and start a route import
But I see that it doesn’t work now… Nick will have been emailed so I’ll see what he says when I get home from work tonight
Thanks for the quick response.
Glad you are aware of it, thought it was just me.
Cheers

I’m going to chase nick about this today – hopefully its going to be a very quick fix. He’s been working on some major changes in the beta so may well have skimmed over the emails about this bug.

I’ve raised it as an issue:
http://code.google.com/p/canalplanac9/issues/detail?id=781
Just to make sure it doesn’t get lost in all the big work that is currently going on.

Lee,
It was caused by the change to the session handling that Nick rolled out the other week and we missed it during testing.
But its all fixed now.

Lee – If you set the canalplan key in the Canalplan Settings then the links the Canalplan plugin puts into your blog use that key so that when people go to that location on the canalplan website it will contain a link back to your blog entry.
For example
http://canalplan.org.uk/gazetteer/g5hj
contains links back to my blog…
I don’t seem to have an option to set the API key as such I only have a save button and a pre-assigned key.
That section of the General Options page says:
——————————
Canalplan Key
This key allows Canalplan to link back to your blog posts.
API Key has been set to : 1cgrabshr97cce86oln9jqmdgaqf2koe and is valid for the blog titled: ‘NB Kennington ‘ on the following url : http://boating.leewilshire.com
Save Canalplan Key
——————————-
The bulk notify page (which I have only just looked at for the first time seems to indicate a problem but I’m not sure where to set the key.
I am on a WordPress Network blog so I’m wondering if there is an issue it might be that causing it?

Sorry having read the support doc it appears that this is how the page is supposed to look – the only thing is I don’t get the reset canalplan key button after clicking on it – it remains saying Save Canalplan Key no matter what.

Hmmmm… it looks like a bug crept into the code.
I’ll fix that and get a replacement for the Latitude widget (which is just about coded) pushed out in the next day or so.
The Save Key bug is a very simple fix – just needs $s changing to %s in line 59 of the cp-admin-general.php file.

Suffering from a summer cold – but am planning on getting it all updated and pushed out this weekend.
